Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Kheer (Rice Pudding) is a traditional Pakistani and Indian dessert made from rice, milk, sugar and flavored with cardamom, saffron, and sometimes nuts such as almonds or raisins. It is simmered on low heat until the rice is cooked and the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency. Kheer is often served chilled, and is a popular dessert in India, Pakistan and other South Asian countries. Variations of this dessert are also popular in other countries, such as Iran, where it is known as “shir berenj.”

चावल½ कप
किशमिश¼ कप
पीसी हुई इलायची½ छोटा चम्मच
गुलाब जल½ छोटा चम्मच
कटे हुए बादाम¼ कप
पिस्ता नट्स¼ कप (कटा हुआ)

Method in English

Bring the coconut milk, milk, and sugar to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the washed rice and simmer until the mixture thickens and the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.

Add the raisins, cardamom and rosewater and stir and cook for a few more minutes. Serve in serving bowls and garnish with almonds and pistachios. And serve

ایک بڑے ساس پین میں ناریل کا دودھ، دودھ اور چینی کو ابال لیں۔ اس میںدھولے ہوے چاول ڈالیں، اور ہلکی آنچ پر ابالیں جب تک کہ مرکب گاڑھا نہ ہو جائے اور چاول نرم ہو جائیں، تقریباً 20 منٹ تک ۔

اس میں کشمش، الائچی اور عرق گلاب بھی ڈال کر ہلائیں اور چند منٹ مزید پکائیں۔ سرونگ پیالوں میں لاڈل کریں، اور بادام اور پستے سے گارنش کریں۔اور سرو کریں
